Youth Manifesto
Our working group collaborates focuses on discussing what Young Greens want to see change in Scotland, looking at the policies we want to see implemented and helping young people campaign on these issues. Over the next year, we hope to work collaboratively with young people to help draft our internal manifesto, to continue SYG’s track record of leading on changes such as free buses for under 22s.
As with all working group roles, this is a flexible role where you can contribute as much as you would like to on policy areas you’re interested in.

Comms
Do you have an interest in social media? Well our comms working group is focused on working with our comms officers to help boost SYG’s presence on social media and make the case for progressive ecosocialist change in Scotland. If you’ve got skills in idea generation, graphic design, video, social media, or are just wanting to learn more and help out, feel free to join!
As with all working group roles, this is a flexible role where you can contribute as much as you would like to on areas of social media creation you’re interested in.

Local Groups
SYG wants to help young people in every corner of Scotland to be able to build their own progressive Green communities. The working group is focused on supporting our members who want to set up or re-establish a local Young Green group in their area. If you’d like to set up a local Young Green community in your area or would like to help other people do the same feel free to join!
As with all working group roles, this is a flexible role where you can contribute as much as you would like to on helping SYG get connected with your community.

2027 Local Elections
Last May, we elected a record four Young Green MSPs, next May gives us the chance to build on that with a potential record number of Young Green Councillors in council chambers across the country.
If you want to help elect Greens across Scotland, learn more about how campaigning works, and meet other passionate Young Green Campaigners, we’d be glad to have you join!

University Groups
Do you want more Green uni societies? If yes, this working group is the place for you! We’re focused on trying to support our existing uni societies and help support people to help set up new groups at their uni. If you’re curious about starting your own uni group or want to help SYG reach campuses across Scotland, feel free to join!
As with all working group roles, this is a flexible role where you can contribute as much as you would like to on supporting new uni groups.
