EVENTS
So much to do, fill your calendars!

January EGM

To kick things off in 2022, we're holding an online event to do a few things:

  • To catch up with old friends and make some new ones!

  • To learn about the Scottish Young Greens and what we do

  • To network and skill share ahead of the May 2022 local authority elections

  • To elect two new people to SYG Council (more details below...)

So put it in your diaries, calendars, phones - tell yer Granny once you've given up trying to shove her aff the bus - we want you for a few hours of fun!
Saturday 22nd January, approx. 11 AM - 4 PM, Google Meets Video Call

(Don't worry - we're committed to giving our activists as much rest as they need, so there will be a generous lunch break so that you're not sat in front of your screens all day)
Everyone is welcome, whether you're an experienced Young Green or you've only just joined us. But please let us know if you plan to attend by filling in a registration form!

🗳️ Council Roles

There are 2 vacancies for a Welfare Officer and an Ordinary Member, after the fantastic Finn and brilliant Betty stepped down from their roles recently (thank you both for being so amazing!).
If you would like to get more involved with the Scottish Young Greens and would like to stand for election at our EGM, you can put yourself forward by filling in the registration form, and telling us which role you would like to stand for and why.
If you're curious, but not sure if it's for you, send any questions to us at: convenor.syg@scottishgreens.org.uk

WE HEREBY STAN…
Shout-outs for seriously fantastic folks

This is the feature in our newsletter where we recognise amazing people for the great things they get up to. And this month, we just want to say…

“Thank YOU!”

You, the members, make the Scottish Young Greens exactly what it is, and you’ve been a massive part of our growth throughout 2021 - whether you liked and shared our posts on social media, got involved with your local or university group, joined a working group, or served on Council.

Take a look at what we’ve achieved together this year ⬇️ Make sure to tell all your friends and encourage them to join us in 2022!
